Ahipp wants full Hips rollout

Ahipp wants full Hips rollout

The Association of Home Information Pack Providers (Ahipp) is calling upon the government to announce a full rollout of Home information packs (Hips).

It comes as the organisation celebrates reaching 100 members since it was launched in anticipation of the initial rollout.

Properties with three or more bedrooms now require a Hip before they can be sold but Ahipp wants to see all properties subject to the same rules.

"We are thrilled to represent 100 members from all parts of the home buying and selling process," said Paul Broadhead, deputy director general of the organisation.

"Despite government delays in the rollout of one and two-bedroom properties, pack providers continue to deliver packs in an efficient and professional manner to consumers.

"More than ever, we are keen, along with our members to push forward with the full rollout of Hips and deliver real benefits to first-time buyers and, again, I would urge the government to implement this as soon as possible," he added.

Ahipp recently leapt to the defence of Hips, stating that they benefit first-time buyers, in response to a recent report to the contrary by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. ADNFCR-1116-ID-18357764-ADNFCR
